I am Sam. Sam I am.
Hold up. Lemme start again:
I am Mia. And that's nearly a palendrome.
I'm from New York City, 9th Floor. (okay, so I spent a couple of months on the 5th Floor, but who's counting?) I went to Horace Mann, which was a blast, and what's more, Jack Kerouack went there. I took the subway there and back every day, and since that meant I was spending over two hours on the New York subway system. I developed an eerie affinity for it. I considered pursuing a job as a train conductor for a while, but I think I have changed my mind, due to my failed attempt at driving automobiles. (I do, strangely enough, have a driver's license. Watch out on the road, people.) I'm currently a sophomore at Brown University, where it looks like I will be concentrating in East Asian Studies, Japan track. Next semester I plan to go abroad (and put up more pictures, of course!), but for now here are a couple of pictures of landmarks I visited as an exchange student it high school.
I'm a brother of Zeta Delta Xi fraternity, and that is all good.
I love to dance, and I am currently a member of New Works/World Traditions, an African and Modern "Dance Theater Company" (although we do more of the former than the latter).
Last academic year I was much more on the ball about writing poetry.
Here are some samples:
Diurnal Philosophers
Tockwotton in May
Windfall: A Bus Play
Independence Day in December
A Snack Between Here and a Best Western
The Day You Wore A Tie
William Carlos Williams
Right now, I don't have too many PICTURES! up, but I will soon!
So, if you don't like this webpage, I apologize. I tried the whole CS thing, it just didn't work for me. (But despite my loathing for CS4, it was the catalyst for my gaining the best best friend in the world. HLG ) If you do like it, send compliments to Eliot, the motivating factor for all this. All donations of sushi are accepted.
